Getting To Know Myself— And Why It Matters Worksheet I

I have also created a downloadable PDF of this worksheet so you can see easily see my example, print it off and do it yourself!

There are six key signs to your relationship happiness with your future partner, (or the one you have now), and yourself.

Relationship fulfillment starts with YOU.

Wisdom starts with knowing yourself. Socrates said something like that, and I just reworded it a bit— and he was right. If you don’t know yourself, it’s especially hard to figure out what you want, and when you are looking for love or a boyfriend, well… it’s kind of important.

This worksheet will help you uncover self-knowledge that will help you understand YOU. And in turn, it will be easier to understand men. As you live clueless to who you are it keeps you in the dark about your own life.

The knowledge you are about to discover will help you understand your own identity.

Here are the benefits of getting to know yourself.

Self-control.

When you know yourself you can see your bad habits and make changes to develop habits that are good for you.

Happiness.

Happiness will be inevitable when you know who you are and learn to express yourself.

Understanding of others.

Awareness of self and your own struggles will teach to be empathetic with men when they do things that don’t please you.

These are a few to get you started. Wouldn’t it be nice not to get angry or cry when things don’t work out with a man? You are well on your way to gaining more understanding by participating in this course.

Here are the six building blocks of getting to know yourself.

Values— research shows that writing about your values will make it more likely that you will develop better habits and take actions that are good for you instead of self-sabotaging or relationship killing.

Take a few minutes to write down your CORE VALUES. These are things that are important to you, the things you believe in. These are your priorities and help you align with what matters to you most. Here are examples:

Creativity

Freedom

Stability

Family

Financial stability

Helping others

Spiritual or Religious values

Political

Example: Dina’s CORE VALUES

My main core value is Freedom. I love the way I feel when I can be who I want and do what I want to.

I believe in expression of myself and others. When people are learning who they are it is so exciting to express this through art, music an writing.

Spirituality and loving kindness are at my core as well.

My other main values are love for my family, friends, the earth, and making people feel good.

I also love ambition. It makes me excited to see what I can accomplish. I am proud of myself when I finish a big project, or an article. I thrive with newness!

Living my passions are most important to me. I’m not a 9-5 kind of girl. I would rather live on the edge and not know what is coming next.

Example: Dina’s BIORHYTHMS

I used to be a night owl for years, now I wake up at 7am almost every day. But sometimes I revert to my night-owl ways. My mind is really creative late into the night and sometimes I wake up at 3am with inspiriting ideas! There are ever different times of my cycle when I feel more creative, and others when I need downtime (like right before my period).

My BIORHYTHMS

What is your schedule like? Are you a night owl or an early bird?

When are you most productive? Creative?
