The “Full-Circle” Moment

Rediscovering My Own Genius

It started like any other day in the life of a creator—a problem arose, and I needed answers fast. I needed a tech tutorial.  So, naturally, I did what I do since the inception of AI Search…

I used Perplexity.ai. I was ready to consume some wisdom and solve my issue. But then, something peculiar caught my eye—a thumbnail that looked strangely familiar.

Yup, it was my own face staring back at me. My tutorial. My solution. Right there in the search results, ready to save the day. Cue the mix of laughter, disbelief, and maybe a little shock as I realized I had already solved the very problem that had me stumped. The teacher had become the student—of themselves.

Let me tell you, that moment hit me like a ton of bricks. Not just because it was funny, but because it was an unmistakable reminder of why I create content in the first place: to help. To teach. To serve. And sometimes, it turns out, that “someone” who needs the help is… me.

Why This Moment Was Hilarious (and Relatable)

If you’re a creator or entrepreneur, you probably understand the juggling act that is our daily life. We’re constantly learning, teaching, solving problems, and creating systems to make life easier for others. But amidst all the hustle culture, it’s easy to forget that we’re also creating resources for ourselves.

When I saw my own video, a flood of emotions came rushing in: pride that I’d made something valuable, gratitude that past-me was so thorough, and sheer hilarity at the thought that future-me didn’t even remember.

I mean, how often do we really stop to marvel at the fact that our brains are bursting at the seams with knowledge and ideas? This moment was the ultimate facepalm-meets-high-five situation. And let’s be honest—it’s always a little surreal to see yourself on a screen when you’re not expecting it.

It’s  pretty amazing at the time of this article being published, there have been 17,887 views. 153 likes and I don’t even know how many comments.

The Lesson Behind the Laugh

This wasn’t just a funny moment; it was a profound one. It reminded me of the importance of creating evergreen content. For those unfamiliar, evergreen content refers to material that remains useful and relevant long after it’s been published. Think tutorials, how-to guides, or resources that answer common questions. Unlike trend-driven posts that quickly lose their relevance, evergreen content is timeless.

In this case, my video had outlived its original context and proven its worth by resurfacing at just the right moment. It was a powerful testament to the fact that good content has no expiration date. And as creators, we should always aim to create resources that serve others (and ourselves) over the long haul.

You’re Not Alone in This

If you’ve ever forgotten something you once knew or rediscovered a solution you’d already created, you’re in good company. This phenomenon isn’t a sign of forgetfulness; it’s a sign of productivity. It’s proof that you’re generating value and sharing knowledge in a way that’s bigger than any one moment.

So, here’s a question for you: Have you ever had a similar “full-circle” moment? Maybe you found an old blog post that answered a burning question or stumbled upon notes from a past brainstorming session that reignited your creativity. If so, share your story in the comments. Let’s celebrate these moments of serendipity together!

Content Creation: The Gift That Keeps on Giving

Moments like these remind me why I’m passionate about creating content. It’s not just about the immediate impact; it’s about building a library of resources that can serve others (and occasionally ourselves) for years to come. Every video, blog post, or social media update is a seed planted in the digital landscape, ready to bloom when someone needs it most.

And sometimes, that “someone” turns out to be the person who planted it in the first place. Funny how life works, isn’t it?

Let’s Laugh and Learn Together

This experience wasn’t just a funny anecdote; it was a real-life example of how helpful content can transcend time and serve even the creator themselves. If you’ve ever had a similar “I forgot I knew this” moment, you’re not alone. Drop your story in the comments because these moments deserve to be shared and celebrated. After all, if we can’t laugh at ourselves, what’s the point?

What this moment taught me—beyond the hilarity of rediscovering my own work—is the importance of consistency, value, and intention in content creation. So, let’s keep creating, keep laughing, and keep planting those seeds. Who knows? The next time you’re searching for an answer, you might just find yourself on the other side of the screen.

The Power of Evergreen Content

What Is Evergreen Content and Why Does It Matter?

Evergreen content is like the ultimate long-term investment for creators. It’s content that doesn’t just make a splash when it’s published; it stays relevant, useful, and impactful long after it’s gone live. Unlike news-driven pieces or trend-based posts, evergreen content doesn’t age out of relevance. Think of it as the gift that keeps on giving.

My “YouTube discovery” moment was a textbook case of this. That tutorial video had longevity. It was designed to answer a specific question, structured to provide value regardless of when someone stumbled upon it, and optimized to ensure it showed up in search results. These are the hallmarks of evergreen content: utility, relevance, and visibility.

Benefits of Evergreen Content

So, why should you focus on creating evergreen content? Here are some key benefits:

  1. Ongoing Discoverability: Unlike trend-based posts that fizzle out after a few days or weeks, evergreen content continues to drive traffic over time. It’s like planting seeds that grow into a forest of value for your audience.
  2. Authority Building: Evergreen content establishes you as an expert in your field. When people consistently find helpful and relevant information from you, they’re more likely to trust your brand and view you as a go-to resource.
  3. Time-Saving: Instead of constantly reinventing the wheel, you can direct people to resources you’ve already created. This is especially handy for frequently asked questions or common challenges within your niche.
  4. Return on Investment: Whether it’s time, effort, or money, the investment you make in creating evergreen content continues to pay dividends long after publication.

How to Create Evergreen Content

Creating evergreen content requires strategy and foresight. Here are some tips to ensure your content stands the test of time:

  • Anticipate Audience Needs: Think about the questions or challenges your audience faces regularly. What solutions can you provide that will remain relevant over time?
  • Focus on Timeless Topics: Avoid subjects tied to fleeting trends. Instead, choose topics with enduring relevance, such as “How to Start a Blog,” “Social Media Marketing Basics,” or “Tips for Better Time Management.”
  • Optimize for Search Engines: Use keywords, titles, and meta descriptions that align with what your audience is searching for. This ensures your content stays discoverable.
  • Repurpose Content: Evergreen content isn’t limited to a single format. A popular blog post can be turned into a video, infographic, or podcast episode, maximizing its reach and impact.

Real-Life Examples

My YouTube tutorial wasn’t just a random fluke; it was a deliberate effort to create something that could stand the test of time. Here are some other examples of evergreen content you can create:

  • How-To Guides: Step-by-step instructions for solving a problem or completing a task.
  • Resource Lists: Curated collections of tools, books, or websites relevant to your niche.
  • Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs): Addressing common queries your audience might have.
  • Educational Videos: Explainers that break down complex topics in an accessible way.

Why It Works

The beauty of evergreen content lies in its ability to serve your audience whenever they need it, not just when it’s fresh. Whether someone stumbles upon your work a day after publication or five years later, the value remains intact. This longevity not only strengthens your brand but also ensures your efforts continue to make an impact over time.

Evergreen Content in Action

Think about your own content library. How much of it is truly evergreen? If the answer is “not much,” now’s the time to start shifting your focus. By investing in content that provides long-term value, you’re setting yourself up for sustained success—and who knows? You might even have your own “full-circle” moment someday.

Showing Up in Unexpected Places

One of the magical things about creating content is how it can reach people in the most surprising ways. You put something out into the world, and suddenly, it takes on a life of its own. It shows up in Google searches, gets shared on social media, and sometimes even comes back to you like a boomerang.

My “Today Years Old” moment was a humorous reminder of this. It’s proof that once your content is out there, it can find its way into unexpected corners of the internet—and beyond. This is the beauty of being a creator: you never really know who’s watching or how your work is making an impact.

Here’s how to increase your chances of showing up in those delightful, unexpected places:

  1. Optimize for Searchability: Use relevant keywords, titles, and descriptions that align with what your audience is searching for.
  2. Diversify Your Platforms: Don’t just stick to one platform. Repurpose your content for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and wherever your audience hangs out.
  3. Focus on Quality: The better your content, the more likely it is to be shared and referenced. Aim to solve real problems or provide meaningful value.
  4. Engage Consistently: The more content you create, the greater your digital footprint. Think of it like planting seeds that can sprout at any time.

Showing up in unexpected places isn’t just about algorithms or SEO; it’s about building a body of work that reflects your expertise, passion, and commitment to serving your audience. And sometimes, it’s about giving yourself a chuckle when you realize you’ve accidentally created exactly what you needed.

In the end, this experience reinforced one of the golden rules of content creation: Always aim to provide value, because you never know who (or when) it will help. Even if that person is you.
